Charger Curtailment Program (Up to $650 Rebate)
Overview:
Receive up to $650 rebate for installing a ChargePoint Home Flex Level-2 EV Charger, by enrolling in a 3-year Charging Agreement allowing WMGLD to reduce charging output during peak hours on non-holiday weekdays.
Key Details:
Only ChargePoint Home Flex Chargers qualify.
Must sign the EV Charging Agreement
Cannot combine with Time-of-Use (TOU) rate during the 3-year agreement.
TOU eligibility resumes after 3 years or by paying a prorated buyout.

Electric Vehicle Meter Time-of-Use Rate (EVM-TOU) & Installation Rebate
Overview:
Install a separate EV-dedicated meter and sign up for the EVM-TOU rate to get lower electricity rates for EV charging during off-peak hours. Also, get up to $1,250 rebate for electrical upgrades required for the installation.
Key Requirements for Rebate:
Be a WMGLD customer in good standing
Provide:
Proof of EV ownership
Proof of Level-2 charger installation
Paid invoice from a licensed electrician
Enroll in the EVM-TOU rate plan first
Important:
If you’ve received a rebate/free charger via the Charger Curtailment Program, you must wait until the 3-year agreement ends or pay the prorated charger cost to switch to the EVM-TOU plan.

NextZero Connected Homes
The NextZero Connected Homes program offers Wakefield residents incentives for enrolling qualifying EV chargers and other devices, allowing WMGLD to make brief, limited adjustments during peak electricity demand periods. Customers receive a quarterly bill credit for participation.
Customers who wish to enroll their EV Charger in the NextZero Connected Homes program cannot currently be enrolled in the Charger Curtailment Program or the EV TOU Program.
