As part of WMGLD’s commitment to sustainability, WMGLD gives customers an opportunity to sign-up to receive a utility friendly tree at no cost! This annual program compliments WMGLD’s ongoing commitment to environmental positive initiatives while giving the customer a chance to support the reduction of carbon emissions.
Utility friendly and shade trees are available (on a first come, first serve basis) and the recipient will receive a tree that the arborist, WMGLD, and Town Tree Warden determine is the right one for the property. Utility friendly trees will be planted in the front yard, where as shade trees will be planted in the back yard, depending upon the proximity of any overhead wires.
