Everbridge Alert System

New Emergency Alert System for Wakefield: Sign Up Today

The Town of Wakefield will transition its emergency alert system from OnSolve’s CodeRed to Everbridge on July 1. You should create your account with Everbridge as soon as possible so you don’t miss notifications about emergencies and critical events.

The service is used by Wakefield’s Public Safety leaders and the Wakefield Municipal Gas and Light Department (WMGLD) to inform the community about snow-related parking bans, emergency utility interruptions, boil-water notices, and other critical alerts. You only need to create one account to receive emergency messages from both the Town of Wakefield and WMGLD.

The Everbridge system will deliver messages to you on your preferred devices — cell phone, SMS, home phone, email, or TTY. The new platform has enhanced translation capabilities, offering messages in 13 languages, and the Everbridge App allows you to receive notifications on your mobile device wherever you go.

If you do not have internet access and cannot register online, please call the Senior Center staff at 781-245-3312 for assistance. Sign-up is easy and only takes a minute. Register today!
